Recently, I made a little trip down to the South-East of England to meet up with my photography friends from university. Although I have been back and forth to my uni town a fair few times during the months since graduating, we haven’t all been together at once for a long while, so it was lovely to catch up with everyone. We stayed in a very cute village in Kent, and also made a road trip down to Brighton to spend a day by the seaside (where the birds are very well-trained for photographic opportunities). I’ve mentioned this several times now, so you might know that I get quite fidgety if I haven’t seen the sea for a while. I don’t know what it is, I just have to go and look at the ocean every so often. Unfortunately, it was a fairly grey, drizzly day, but occasionally the sun would peek through the clouds and glitter on the surface of the water. I really like this image of my friend Tessa.
We stayed on the pebbly beach for a while before heading into town to have a look around. I had heard a lot about The Lanes shopping area in various blogs and vlogs, and so was quite intrigued to see it for myself. We stumbled across the famous choccywoccydoodah on our travels, where they have ACTUAL EDIBLE SHOES, amongst other things. As we were around just before Easter, they even had special dinosaurs in eggs. I’m not really that much of a chocolate person and even I thought it was pretty great. I’m afraid I don’t have photos because there was simply too much chocolate to make sensible decisions.
It felt great to be back around old friends again (even if I was sneezing every two minutes because I’m allergic to everything), as I have really missed that since graduating. I’m actually moving away for the summer so won’t be in Swansea for the end-of-year celebrations. The end of term is the best time of year so make the most of it while you can!
